ANSI/BIFMA 5.1-1993 Back Durability Test
The purpose of this test is to evaluate the ability of the chair to withstand
the fatigue stresses and wear that occur s the result of the user tilting
back in the chair over the lifetime of the chair. To evaluate the ability
of the chair to withstand a static force, see the back
strength test.
