The Center brings together academic faculty, graduate students, and furniture manufacturing engineers and managers for the purpose of developing valuable technological, operational, and strategic advances. Center members can:
Directly
influence the Center's research agenda, as well as participate in and
immediately benefit from project activities and findings.
Benefit from the research
initiatives conducted by the Center disseminated through various communications tools including:
Research papers and technical reports
Workshops and seminars
Computer software systems
Training sessions
Help determine the Center's
research and extension agenda.
Interact and
participate in information exchange with other furniture
companies.
Develop an improved
understanding of new manufacturing and environmental technologies, as
well as business strategies that enhance competitiveness.
Gain preferential access to
undergraduate and
graduate engineering students with furniture specific training.
The committee has the responsibility of reviewing proposals and recommending the allocation of funds and effort for research and extension projects.
