To serve this important industry, the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering offers a bachelor of science degree in Industrial Engineering with a Furniture Manufacturing emphasis. This track comprises a four-course sequence that distinguishes the BSIE, Furniture Manufacturing curriculum from the standard BSIE degree. This core subject matter is augmented by other industrial engineering courses such as computer-aided design, work measurement, production and inventory control, quality management, economic analysis, computer simulation, and industrial ergonomics.
