Seat Impact Application

The purpose of these tests is to evaluate the ability of the chair arms to withstand fatigue stresses and wear that occur as the result of the user dropping into the chair. Seat Drop Application

The purpose of these test is to evaluate the ability of the chair arms to withstand stresses that occur as the result of heavy abusive impacts on the chair seat. Part of the animated gif from the FMM Center's home page shows the drop test in action.
